SUMMARY:

Provides broad support for purchasing team.  This person will spend a good amount of time analyzing the usage and needs of parts and materials for production, generating purchase orders, performing various data entry functions, as well as corresponding with vendors and providing general support to the purchasing department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Review of production shortages
  • All necessary follow-up on shortages and supply issues
  • Review & analyze daily reorder report with recommendation on order quantities
  • Create and submit new purchase orders
  • Review/approve purchase order confirmations from vendors
  • Review & follow-up on all orders, ensuring timely deliveries
  • Vendor communication
  • Special projects as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent minimum

Previous office/administrative experience required with purchasing/inventory experience a plus

Proven attention to detail and data entry accuracy

Ability to analyze inventory and order lead times

Competent with Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel

POSITION DETAILS:

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday – Thursday 7am-5pm with an hour unpaid lunch & Fridays 8am-12pm

Compensation: $13.00 to $15.00 /hour depending on experience
