Quality Auditor
Be the Person Who Says, “This Isn’t Leaving Until It’s Right.”
By the time a MasterSpas hot tub reaches Quality Control, dozens of people have already had a hand in building it. But before that spa can move forward, someone has to ask one final question: Is this good enough to have our name on it?
As a Quality Control Auditor, you’ll be one of the people trusted to answer that question. You’ll inspect and test our spas from top to bottom—checking appearance, workmanship, equipment installation, and functionality against MasterSpas’ quality standards. And when something isn’t right, you’ll have the responsibility to catch it, document it, and make sure it gets addressed. This isn't about finding fault for the sake of finding fault. It's about protecting the customer, protecting the people who built the product, and protecting the MasterSpas name.
What You’ll Do
Your job is essentially to look at a finished spa through the eyes of the customer who is about to own it.
Would you be happy if this showed up in your backyard? If the answer isn't yes, there's more work to do.
Inspect It From Top to Bottom
And we mean that literally. You’ll perform complete inspections of our spas, including climbing inside them and getting underneath them to make sure nothing gets overlooked. You’ll:
- Conduct detailed visual inspections for appearance and workmanship.
- Verify the correct equipment has been installed according to the work order.
- Use computer and manual testing to make sure the spa functions properly.
- Confirm manufacturing processes were completed according to written instructions and company standards.
- Look beyond what is immediately visible to make sure the entire product meets expectations.
Catch What Others Might Miss
A connection that isn't quite right. An appearance issue that might bother a customer.
Equipment that doesn't match the work order. A repair that still doesn't meet the standard.
This role requires someone who naturally notices the details other people walk past. Because a small issue caught inside our facility is much easier to fix than a disappointed customer hundreds of miles away.
Test It. Document It. Own It.
Finding the problem is only part of the job.
You'll document failures, problems, repairs, evaluations, inspections, and corrective actions according to company procedures. You'll also clearly identify vendor equipment failures and make sure there is a permanent record of what happened and how it was addressed. Quality Control Auditor
Accuracy matters here.
If you inspected it, tested it, approved it, rejected it, or sent it back for additional work, the documentation needs to tell the story.
Have the Confidence to Make the Call
Quality Control isn't effective if the person inspecting the product is afraid to say: “No. This isn't ready.”
As a QC Auditor, you'll have the authority to approve or reject spas based on visual inspections and testing results. You'll evaluate whether functions meet MasterSpas and customer satisfaction standards, hold questionable issues for management review, and approve or reject repairs before a spa is released. Quality Control Auditor
That requires good judgment. It also requires the confidence to stand behind the standard—even when production is ready for the unit to move.
What We’re Looking For
We're looking for someone who notices things.
Someone who can walk past ten units that look exactly the same and spot the one thing on number eleven that's different.
Someone who doesn't think:
"Eh, it's probably fine."
Someone who thinks:
"I need to make sure."
You'll likely be successful if you:
- Have strong attention to detail and observation skills.
- Take quality personally and aren't comfortable letting questionable work pass.
- Can follow written procedures and apply standards consistently.
- Are comfortable using computer and manual testing methods.
- Can use basic hand tools and have good manual dexterity.
- Document your work clearly and accurately.
- Communicate concerns professionally with Production, Quality, and Management.
- Can make decisions independently while knowing when something needs to be escalated.
What Sets You Up for Success
The best QC Auditors aren't looking for reasons to fail someone's work.
They're looking for reasons to be confident enough to approve it.
They're observant enough to notice the problem.
Curious enough to investigate it.
Technical enough to test it.
Thorough enough to document it.
Decisive enough to make the call.
And accountable enough to put their approval behind it.
Because once that spa leaves Quality Control, your decision becomes part of the customer's experience.
That's a responsibility the right person takes seriously.
What You Can Expect
This is not a desk job—and it's not a role where you'll spend the day looking at products from six feet away. You'll be hands-on.
You'll stand and squat for extended periods, climb in and out of spas, work underneath units, use ladders and step stools, and perform detailed inspections throughout your shift. The manufacturing environment can include outdoor or non-temperature-controlled areas as well as exposure to materials commonly used in our processes, including fiberglass, resin, plastic, dust, glue, primer, and foam.
Most importantly, you'll have a role where your attention to detail directly protects the quality of products being shipped to customers.
