Process Engineer





The Process Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, setting up, modifying, optimizing, and monitoring manufacturing processes in the production of spas and hot tubs. This position focuses on improving process efficiency, product quality, and overall operational effectiveness, particularly in the areas of lamination, foam, and acrylic manufacturing.

 

The Process Engineer will develop and implement process improvements, support engineering changes, and collaborate closely with production teams to ensure safe, cost-effective, and high-quality manufacturing performance.

The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

Process Design & Optimization

  • Identify and implement process and workflow improvements to reduce labor and material costs.
  • Focus on optimizing manufacturing processes in lamination, foam, acrylic, and rotational molding operations.
  • Conduct research to develop and refine new and existing manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct tests and monitor process performance throughout production cycles.
  • Develop and maintain error-proofing methodologies to enhance quality and minimize waste, scrap, and rework.

 

Continuous Improvement & Lean Manufacturing

  • Initiate actions to prevent non-conformance related to product, process, or systems.
  • Lead process definition, improvement, and problem-resolution activities.
  • Support implementation of engineering changes, process documentation, and tooling development.
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles to streamline production, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects that focus on safety, productivity, and quality.

 

Documentation & Training

  • Develop, maintain, and update documentation for processes, work methods, and work instructions.
  • Provide training and support to production teams on updated procedures and best practices.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and manufacturing personnel to ensure consistent process standards across departments.

 

Equipment & Safety

  • Implement new equipment and improve existing systems to enhance efficiency and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Monitor and evaluate equipment performance to reduce downtime and operational costs.
  • Work closely with maintenance and safety teams to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field required.
  • Experience in process engineering or manufacturing preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an aptitude for process improvement.
  • High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with inventory or production management systems a plus.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

JOB TYPE:
Full Time

SCHEDULE:

Mon-Thur 7:00am-5:00pm with an hour unpaid lunch, Fri 8:00am-12:00pm. Changes in schedule may be necessary to accommodate production demands.

COMPENSATION:

Salary based on experience
