Procurement/Expediting Clerk





The ideal candidate will have extensive Excel and analytical background to review inventory data, forecast data, and pricing changes. Key responsibilities are to analyze purchasing data to ensure accurate reporting and provide internal and external parties with necessary documentation.  

The essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

 

·        Assist the Buyers and Production Scheduler with daily activities as needed

·        Develop short- and long-term strategies to purchase commodities

·        Work directly with internal buyers to determine forecast demand versus on hand inventory and work to reduce total inventory values

·        Work closely with accounting and warehouse team to resolve vendor invoice issues

·        Manage Production Change Orders (PCO) as material becomes unavailable or changes to BOM’s are implemented

·        Maintain price changes via excel and update Sage 100

·        Manage freight correspondence by approving all inbound freight quotes through preferred carriers

·        Bachelor's Degree in relevant field preferred

·        3-5 years purchasing or inventory experience

·        Experience with Sage 100 preferred

·        Comfortable working in a manufacturing organization

·        Excellent computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint) required

·        Chemical reporting knowledge preferred

·        Critical thinking skills

·        Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

·        Strong relationship building between internal departments

JOB TYPE:
Full Time

SCHEDULE:

Mon-Thurs 7am-5pm, with an hour unpaid lunch; 8am-12pm on Friday

COMPENSATION:

$18-$20/hr. Based on experience
