Safety Coordinator


Under the direction of the Safety & Facilities Manager this position is responsible for coordinating and maintaining our Safety Program.


The essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop and deliver Safety training
  • Develop Safety programs
  • Write and review Job Safety Analysis
  • Support locations in maintaining regulatory requirements
  • Interface with government regulatory officers, as needed
  • Conduct audits, inspections and assessments to identify improvement opportunities
  • Partner with management teams to understand Safety concerns, opportunities, gaps and collaborate to identify solutions to close the gaps
  • Assist operations in investigating Safety-related incidents and ensures implementation of effective and sustainable corrective actions
  • Supervising and coaching of First Responder & Safety personnel

Additional duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary by management.


  • Safety related experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and EPA standards
  • Knowledge of local, state, and customer required safety standards
  • Track record in designing and executing successful safety programs
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with all levels of staff within the company and external vendors
  • BS degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Sciences or relevant field preferred


Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with 1 hour lunch

Compensation: Based on experience
